On April 26 at 5:00 p.m., the Cinema Park Metropolis cinema invites viewers to a special screening of the biographical sports drama "Diodorova. Against the Current."
The plot of the film is based on real events and tells about the life and career of the silver medalist of the 2008 Summer Paralympic Games, multiple world and European champion Anastasia Diodorova.
The main role was played by Maria Ivanova. Anastasia Diodorova acted as a stunt double, starring in underwater scenes. The film also starred Tatyana Arntgolts, Irina Nikiforova, Fedot Lvov and others.
Nastya, a 13-year-old girl from Yakutia, lost both arms in a tragic accident, but found solace in swimming. Her mother Lyudmila protected her daughter from the cruelty of the world for a long time, but understood that sooner or later Nastya would have to go out into society. What path in life will she choose? Will Nastya be able to overcome her fears and become who she always dreamed of being?
The special screening is timed to coincide with the Day of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), which is celebrated annually on April 27.
